THE SHERWOOD FOREST WOOD FIRING SOCIETY.
Thoresby is home to the Sherwood Forest Wood Firing Society which exists to promote wood fired ceramics and to enable people working with clay at all levels to be able to participate in all aspects of wood firing.
Situated on an easily accessible site, close to Thoresby’s other amenities is the kiln compound of the society where regular firings take place and where members are happy to discuss wood firing with any visitors to the park.
