The role of the Estates bricklayer is to maintain the estate’s assets including domestic and commercial properties.

MAIN ACTIVITIES, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To assist in the maintenance of the estate’s domestic and commercial properties.
  • To assist with the redevelopment of the estate’s assets.
  • The ability to undertake all aspects of brickwork.
  • To assist with ground works such as drainage and concrete foundations.
  • Being able to work on multiple building tasks.
  • To work flexibly within the Estates Team to provide support to other team members as required.
  • To adhere to health and safety procedures, providing a safe environment for staff and members of the public.

  • To undertake any other duties in line with the grade of the post requested by the management to meet short term requirements.

The ideal candidate will be sociable and confident with the ability to prioritise tasks. The role is 39 hours per week, Monday – Friday. Previous experience within a similar role is essential.

Temporary Event Stewards and Support Staff

Thoresby Park are actively recruiting for Temporary Event Stewards and Support Staff.

Event Stewards and Support Staff.

The key areas our Event staff will be asked to assist with include:

  • Working in campsites, arenas, on gates, car parking, clearing rubbish and ticket entry.
  • Our stewards are the eyes and ears of an event; trained to be proactive and alert to any potential problem.
  • Promoting crime awareness and crime prevention to the public.
  • Working with onsite teams to ensure medical, fire and security issues are dealt with promptly and safely.
  • Helping to prevent overcrowding and on hand to monitor crowd safety.
  • Assisting the public to create an environment where they feel safe.
  • Directing the public, assisting with ingress and egress to help the process run smoothly and effectively.
  • Supporting your ticket holders, providing information about the event including facilities and performances to ensure they have the best possible time at your event.

 

Activity requirements

Each event would be a minimum of 2 x 8 hour shifts or a total of 16 hours per event weekend. Actual individual event requirements may differ to this.

  • It is likely that you will need to be on site for training or safety briefings before and after the Event.

Seasonal Catering Staff

Our catering team here at the Courtyard Café on Thoresby Park currently have opportunities for seasonal catering staff to join their team to help with the upcoming busy season.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Taking customer orders and delivering food and beverages
  • Clean food preparation areas and equipment, in addition to crockery and cutlery
  • Cash & payment handling when required
  • Working and enforcing within health & safety guidelines
  • Providing excellent wait service to ensure customer satisfaction, informing of specials, providing menu’s and detailed information regarding the menu’s and upselling where possible
  • Pot washing

The role will include weekend work.
