At Thoresby Park, we are committed to continually improving your visitor experience, and we have been working hard behind the scenes to invest in the park and facilities that so many of you enjoy.
We have listened to visitor feedback and are pleased to announce that we will soon be introducing a new, easier-to-use parking payment system. As part of this upgrade, Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology will be installed to replace our current token system and will go live on 2nd July 2026.
We’re also excited to be bringing a brand-new 18 hole Disc Golf Course to the park! This fun activity is suitable for all ages and provides a fantastic way for families and friends to enjoy the outdoors together. Discs will be available to hire from the Visitor Centre for just £3 and a £2 course fee to play. A family of 4 offer and yearly memberships will be available.
Play Area Improvements
To allow for some exciting enhancements to our play area, the playground will be closed from 29th June. We know this may cause some temporary disappointment, but we cannot wait to welcome everyone back to enjoy the improved facilities in time for the summer holidays.

The new play park will offer exciting opportunities for adventure, fun and outdoor play for children of all ages. We look forward to sharing more details with you soon.
As part of these improvements and ongoing investment in the estate, we have made the difficult decision to increase our parking charge from £3 to £5 for all-day parking. The increase will go live from 2nd July 2026.
We understand that any price increase may be disappointing for some visitors. However, this change will help support the significant investment we are making across the park, ensuring that Thoresby continues to improve and remains a fantastic destination for everyone to enjoy.
All current season pass holders please see a member of staff at our Visitor Centre on your next visit to register your vehicle into the new ANPR system.
