1940s Spirit of Wartime Sherwood 16th & 17th May

Join us for the weekend to celebrate, remember and reminisce the 1940s.

Saturday 16th May & Sunday 17th May 2026, 10am – 4pm.

Free entry into the event. £5 car parking which is cash only please. No booking or tickets required for day visitors.

See how life on the Homefront was and vehicles that would have graced our roads.

Treat yourself to something Vintage from the traders in the Vintage Village.

Saturday 16th May 2026:

10am – Show opens

11am – Dance lessons in the Riding Hall

11:30am – Ration Book Cooking Demonstration in the Roundhouse

1pm – Dance Lessons in the Riding Hall

1:30pm – Ration Book Cooking Demonstration in the Roundhouse

2pm – Battle for Stone Bridge

4pm – Show Closes

Sunday 17th May 2026:

10am – Show Opens

Throughout The Weekend:

Live music in  the courtyard, DJ woody on the main lawns, vintage traders village, food & drink, war-time vehicles, living history camps, military museum, courtyard shops.

Weekend Camping available. £50 + booking fee.

This price includes a family of 4 for 3 nights
Maximum 2 dogs per pitch.
Please note throughout the day there will be live re-enactments.
Grass camping pitch. (Caravan, tent and campers).
Water points.
Elsan point.
Showers & Toilets.

No electric available.

Suitable for all abilities, with Dronfield Vintage Dance on hand to help any beginners.

Includes:  Cream tea (Fruit scone, jam, cream & a choice of tea or coffee)

In The Riding Hall which is located in the Courtyard. (Please bring proof of booking)

Good to Know:

  • Dogs are welcome and must remain on leads at all times.
  • Cash is advised for stalls.
  • Car Parking is cash only (£5).
  • The event starts at 10am with the car park opening at 9:45am, please try not to arrive before this time.
  • No entrance to the event/car park via Thoresby Park’s main entrance. Please follow the Thoresby event signage of Netherfield Lane for car parking.
  • Disabled Parking is available, please have blue badge ready to show our car parking stewards who will direct you to disabled parking. (£5 cash only for parking)
  • Please be aware during the battle for Stonebridge, loud bangs will be heard.
  • The Courtyard Cafe will be open from 8am for campers and then 10am for general public.
  • Tucks Brewery will be open 11am – 11pm on Friday 15th & Saturday 16th and 11am – 7pm on Sunday 17th.
